The Assistant Nurse Manager Acute Care will report directly to the Nurse Manager of their unit. This person will feel supported by their Manager and the Director, and will lead a fantastic team of Med Surg RNs. This Nurse Leader will have the opportunity to grow and develop their career under the direction and mentorship of a great team in a world-class department.

The Assistant Nurse Manager Acute Care will lead efficient patient care throughout the unit. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with physicians and managers in regards to operational issues and addressing problems with staffing and equipment as they occur while the Assistant Nurse Manager Acute Care is supervising. The Assistant Nurse Manager Acute Care will also be expected to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives with little to no direct patient care.
