Our client is an employee-owned company dedicated to the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance and service of commercial and industrial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, process piping, and building automation systems.Position Details:Location: San Leandro, CA / office is moving to Dublin, CA in 2026 (Hybrid after 1 month)Type: Full TimeGeneral Job Description:Reporting to the Construction Technology Manager, the Construction Technology Specialist (CTS) is responsible for the maintenance, support and improvement of core Project Management and Sales Support technologies such as estimating, bid management and cloud storage software. The CTS should have skills in the successful execution of technical enhancements and/or improvements. The CTS should have skills in business application configuration and integration. These skills will be utilized to demonstrate value through prototypes, documents and presentations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Test, maintain and deploy corporate estimating and operations software updates as necessary.
• Collaborate with training development teams to create and maintain new training material content.
• Estimating and bid tracking software user management.
• Possess the ability to turn concepts into workable solutions for the organization.
• Successfully work with the operations team to develop best-practice solutions for internal stakeholders.
• Participate in the evaluation of existing applications to reconfigure, update and add new features to achieve 'constant improvement' ideology.
• Perform configuration and integration testing in beta environments with select user groups.
• Successfully guide support issues (troubleshoot/debug) from the Project Management teams utilizing standardized ticketing system.
• Maintain ongoing project status and documentation.
• Assist in technical document development to accurately represent application design and configuration.
• Willing to travel to different locations to conduct training and support as needed.Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):
  • Bachelor degree or 5 years of experience within the industry.
  • 3 years of comparable experience with estimating, project management, bid tracking or similar software.
  • Willingness to learn and master new application platforms as required.
  • Strong data analysis, design and application testing skills.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidential information.
  • Operate in a startup fashion for emerging technologies that impact the construction industry.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new business teams, new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
