Payment Variance Analyst

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Payment Variance Analyst to identify reimbursement opportunities due to payment discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

Perform payment variance analysis to identify trends in underpaid claims
Initiate appeals and report underpayments and denial trends
Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays, including billing and coding errors

Required Qualifications

2 years' experience in Commercial insurance collections
2 years' experience as an underpayment analyst
Detailed knowledge of Managed Care reimbursement methodologies
Experience in Hospital/Facility billing
Proficiency with MS Office
